101. Application
1. The materials used for important structural members are to be in accordance with Pt 2, Ch 1 of
Rules for the Classification of Steel Ships. The steel used for parts supporting heavy loads
such as plant facilities, etc. and those parts under
tensile loads in the direction across the plate
thickness are to be in accordance with Pt 2, Ch 1, 310. of Rules for the Classification of Steel Ships.
2. The welding work of important structural members

3. Underdeck and hull interface plating or bracket structures attached to the deck or hull should have the same or compatible material grade as the deck or hull structure, respectively.
4. Weld joint design is to be in accordance with Pt 12 of Rules for the Classification of Steel Ships.
5. Mooring  system  chains,  chain  parts,  wire  ropes,  fiber  ropes,  and  anchors  as  well provided   for   accommodation   spaces   are   to   be   in   accordance   with   Pt  4   of Classification  of  Steel  Ships,  or  standards  deemed  appropriate  by  the  Society.  ![]()
